She's got squirrels again.
I used to think these little guys who burrow in the fields around here were woodchucks, but they are a variety of ground squirrel and don't really bear much resemblance to those big groundhog sized rodents. This was my fifth or sixth attempt to get a picture of one Wednesday morning, and I think it came out awfully sweet. And of course, once I got my shot, I quit bothering them, so they were happy, too.

This is great Katney. And thank you for all your words of comfort over at mine.
I am thinking of joining in on odd shots. How good a photographer do I have to be to join in? What are the rules and is there a compulsion to post every week?
Thanks. It's just I have some odd ones and thought of posting but then thought I could reach a wider audience for critique and advice this way. What do you think?
That is a cute photo! I'm glad you chose it to share!
The caption should be:
Let's give her the money shot and maybe she'll go away

Katney: Ground squirrels are so unusual. Thanks for sharing this neat photo.

Great capture! We are farmers, so things burrowing in fields in not a good thing... but they are SO darn cute!

Very cute. New to me. Always good to see critters you don't know.
Awww.... now that's just adorable!!
They are cute! :)
That's just too cute!
I've never seen a woodchuck or a groundhog.
Looking forward to your Odd Shots post - your Photo Hunt Time post was superb and no, I didn't recognise the dark shape as being the flag, but I wondered what it was!
I don't think I have ever seen a ground squirrel, got lots of the others though. Thanks for commenting over at my place
Very sweet.
We have lots of the regular old tree squirrels around here.
How adorable!
Oh my they are simply adorable! It looks like mother and baby? I wish we had those!!
Very cute! :)
Too cute !! I think I have never seen such squirrels.
I know about Picasa etc. my quota is full and I should buy space. But I found another solution, I made a blog with Mr. Gattino's email address, upload the pictures there and just copy and paste on my blog, or I use Photobucket.
What a nice shot; your perseverance paid off. Dear little creatures.
Those guys are very cute! They definitely don't resemble the squirrels I have in my neighborhood. I never knew that ground squirrels existed.
Very sweet shot.....Thank you for visiting the Circus.....Jami
There's a lot of Belding Ground Squirrels in central Oregon. I've seen a few on my walk-about photo safaris. They are cute critters, but can a nuisance. Nice shot.
