Another Q

My official ABC Wednesday post is below, but a stop by Ackworth Born Gone West reminded me that I also have a photo of Queen Victoria.
The hoodoos (eroded sandstone formations) of Bryce Canyon National Park in southern Utah take on some strange forms and are named for what they resemble. This one is known as Queen Victoria.

Perhaps she would be amused.

And then again, maybe not.

Who is to say if Queen Victoria would be amused. She often was not. But, hey, she is ever immortalized!

The hoodoos are amazing. I took a horse ride once through them while visiting Bryce Canyon. Hiking is another way to explore the area, but the horses made it very easy to get a long ways with little effort.

I chose to use nearby Quadra Island for Q. It is a fun vacation destination that you can see by clicking here. – Margy

Probably not but it is still a great choice. Surprising how geological 'Q' can be.

Sandstone is wonderful stuff for making shapes. This is great.

I didn't know they are called hoodoo. Great shot. I bet QWueen ictoria would be upset, just her usual mood, they say! LOL Kisses from Nydia.

PS: loved the little flower and the gorgeous plant too!

Your flowers are so pretty in the other post but this one is my favorite because I love Bryce Canyon National Park. I didn't know this one was called Queen Victoria.

What a strange and wonderful place--and photo. Great "Q" and I think the queen would be amused.
Happy Wednesday.

I remember seeing another rock formation in Hawaii that also resembled "Queen Victoria" and another one that resembled "King Kong". Haha!

I have never hear that name before, so thank you for teaching me something new today! My guess is she would not be amused, but would no doubt be impressed with your lovely photo.
