A Quilter's ABC-I

ABC--I is for Deja Vu?

Say, didn't you say this was a Bear Paw block?

Other sources, other locations knew it as Illinois Turkey Tracks. A bit of lore about Turkey Track blocks--it was considered bad luck to give a quilt of Turkey Tracks to a young single man, as it was said that if you did, he would never settle down.
~

Wasn't this East of Eden?

East of Eden is made up of nine Indian Hatchet blocks. Our online guild is using these as a signature swap.
~
I saw this last week. It's a Hole in the Barn Door.

Well, it is unless it is an Indian Hammer.
~
Okay, you did call Grandma's quilt a Single Irish Chain , so this one is all right. (The Apple Irish Chain in my A post was based on the Double Irish Chain.)

I haven't seen these before. There is no deja vu here. There will be, though. Today you know them as Idaho Star. Watch for them in coming weeks under a different name.

Speaking of Idaho, here is the Idaho Beauty.

Thank you to Denise Nesbitt who started it all, to the team, who keep it going. Find the ABC Wednesday links here, and the group no comment ABC here.

I really look forward to your Wednesday posts! You have such interesting quilt information...a natural teacher :-) It gets so confusing with all the multiple names blocks have.

Imaginative use of the I. I love how you incorporate quilting in, a subject I know little about.

I especially love those two Idaho ones -- since I was born there! Hope you are having fun guiding visitors around there. Miss you visiting around tho.
