3 Days--3298 new friends--$8.6 million

For the next couple of days I will post pictures from the Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk in Seattle last week. Writing about it--well, you would think that I could, but it takes some time to process. I will get to that, too.

DAY ONE

Teams gather at opening ceremonies Friday morning--fresh and enthusiastic!

Remember the helicopter? I told you there would be a helicopter.

Group stretching--packed like sardines there were some stretches that just don't work.

On day one, everyone starts at the same time--well, as much at the same time as 3299 people can start through a narrow lane. Eventually, the crowds spread out a bit.

Lots of support along the way.

A Walker who couldn't--but she was there along the way every day. Maybe next year.

Did I mention support of all sorts?

Dining tent.

Remembrance tents from several cities.

Fantastic! I am so glad you got pictures. I love the remembrance tents. The helicopter is in a pink/purple sky! Perfect!

Are you on that first photo? Hope you didn't get any blisters this time...

This is an amazing event. Our Relay for Life was all night for one night. This small community couldn't come up with nearly the numbers you had. BJ

After reading comments, I had to go back and re-check if you were there in your special walk for cancer curehat with names on it but it wasn't there and I didn't see your face so you were just taking photos of some others.

It looks to be quite the event. It brought tears to my eyes because it made me think of my twin. . .
