Odd Shots on Monday--have I told you about...

Odd Shots is hosted here. To participate, leave a comment so others will know you are here. I am away for a bit so will not get the blogroll updated till my return. Odd Shot details can be found by clicking the logo in the sidebar.
~
This is my hubby visiting while waiting to pay for our meal in the snack bar at Sunrise. Looks like he is telling one of his old stories to some of his best buds, right?

We had ordered our meal, and I sat down at a table to wait. He stayed in line to pay at the cashier, and they were a bit slow on that end. While he was waiting, I was watching, and these gentlemen were in line behind him. He had never seen them before, and will likely never see them again.
~
He told them all about volunteering at the Park, the hikes we had taken, and all about camping in our Little Guy Trailer.
~
Now this is not the oddest Odd Shot I have ever taken, but it made me laugh. You see, I actually (don't laugh at this, it's true) am a very shy person. My husband is the opposite. He can strike up a conversation with anyone any time.
~
Obviously.

I tend to avoid conversations with strangers as well :)

My very odd shot is up.

This shot (and your eXplanation) makes me smile too, Katney. Sounds like you make a good pair ~ the perfect compliment to one another!

My odd shot is up too. ThanX!

I love people that can just start conversations like that. It's not me.

I thought I would play this week after seeing it so often on several blogs; I hope this fits the theme. I thought it might. My firstOdd Shot

Love this story, Katmey! And I understand because I am a very quiet person and MY husband will talk to anybody

My Odd Shot is up too.

My hubby is the same way. I'm always waiting for the food to come while he's chatting it up with someone. So, not so odd to me, yet it is odd.

Oops! That was me...

My husband is the same way... He always says he has never seen a stranger, just friends he's not met... lol

No matter where we go, he can almost always run into someone he knows... even if it's been 20 years since he's seen them... lol

My odd shot is up - Prairie Visions!

I love this ... I bet he and my late mother both made friends wherever they go/went ... she'd go shopping and by the time she left everyone in the store was her new best friend!

My shot is up BUT this is my first day back at the office after vacation so I may not have time to visit/comment on everyone's posts ... apologies up front!

I'm the shy one in our family. Just wouldn't think of chatting to a stranger face to face. Interesting post. Mine for today can be found at

I'm also very shy but must have a "please talk to me" tattoo on my forehead because I find myself in these conversations! Great story.

I may get one of my other blogs, too but you can click over from there.

I don't mind talking to people but my little brother doesn't like it at all. I have a cute odd shot. You must come and see.

My Dad is the same way... he can talk to strangers for a very, very long time... while we wait.

That's a lovely shot. It would happen round here, too.

I'm very late reporting in, but mine's been up since midnight.

I'm the same... I'm quite shy with strangers but if I'm working on my job, I'm not shy at all and will be the total opposite and quite open and warm with my customers!! LOL
Fun post you had today!

Well, I am more outspoken than my husband. But this reminded me of my best friend Penny who was visiting this weekend. She never meets a stranger either. I used to have to get on to her for talking to strangers! My Odd Ball is up

Diane said...

I have added a link now Katney. Thanks for asking!

Cath said...

Oh obviously! He looks extremely animated, and very happy doing his talking. Brilliant shot.

Mine is up.

That is funny my hubby is the quiet one when it comes to striking up a conversation, he tell me i don't have a shy bone in my body and will talk to a tree if it could talk back.

Well you inspired me to do another blog on Oregon so thanks for getting me started. I have a yahoo rver's group about Oregon but decided to do a blog instead
again thanks
