Camera Critters--Twins

Here's where to find
the latest Camera Critters
sign in. You may be amazed
at the critters people see.

Driving back into Mt. Rainier National Park after a photography workshop, you would have expected me to have my camera near at hand when a deer stepped into the road ahead of me. A deer is a fairly common sight here, and I didn't reach for the camera until I saw the twin fawns that followed her. I had to dig to the bottom of my bag to find the camera, so this is the best shot I could get.

How lovely to see that family! How ever hard I try, there always seems to be an occasion when I miss THE shot through not having my camera to hand! You've done well, though.

So cute! I used to travel a lot into the Adirondacks, and deer were everywhere there. They'd come right up to your car if you stayed there long enough.

this is the way it works for me:

camera at the ready...nothing to shoot.

camera at the bottom of the bag...whole world pops out.

i prefer to have the excitement, so i do a lot of bag-rifling.

nice shot. :)

Beautiful scene. It's such pretty country out there. I love the light and shadow and the intimacy of the photo. It makes me feel like I'm right there.

It's a better shot than I'd get, because they aren't around here. For me, lovely wildlife image.

Neat catch! What kind of photography workshop did you go to? I cannot imagine you not having your camera at hand. When I went to rainier with you and hubby, you had TWO cameras!!!!!!!
