J is for Juneau
On our first trip to Alaska, we took the aerial tramway to Mt. Roberts, where we had this view of Juneau, the capital city of Alaska.
A couple of years ago, I looked across the Gastineau Channel to see the cruise ships docked at the city's port.
From another viewpoint you could see more of the capital.
One of the most interesting locations in the Juneau area is the Mendenhall Glacier.
Another ABC from our travels. See other J posts linked at the ABC Wednesday site, and while you are at it, stop by and give Mrs. Nesbitt a "hi and thanks for the idea."

I spent 17days in Alaska but never got to Juneau. We did travel around alot tho and I loved Portage Glacier and Chena Hot Springs. Thanks for the tour I missed when I was there so many years ago.
I always like peeking at this area. Another cold winter world to me.
I have always wanted to visit Alaska - it is as far north as Norway. Thanks to you I now "have".
PS The closest I have been was flying from Seattle to LA with Alaska Airlines...
My late parents did a cruise of Alaskan waters and came home to rave about it and the salmon they ate .. lovely photos .. excellent J!
Great photos. I've never been to Juneau, but I'd love to go.
Why did you put your photo sideways on yout comment square/info page?
It's straight out of the camera.
A glacier and icebergs! Wow!
Gorgeous photos - terrific Juneau - it's a most glorious place.
