My World the last two weeks

Visit the world each Tuesday as members highlight  their corners of the world. Find them here.

For the last two weeks plus my world has been totally void of the use of computers--well, with the exception of those which kept our reservations in order, the planes flying properly, and the ship on course, and then, of course,  my brother and his I-Phone.

Look, he's reading Katney's Kaboodle!

Our first glimpses of Alaska came from the plane as we approached Anchorage.

The view of those tidewater glaciers that day was clear. The two that you see are certainly Yale and Harvard in College Fjord, seen up close on a foggy day later in the trip.

We were fifteen days in Alaska, from Fairbanks in the north to Ketchikan in the far southeast,

and another day plus sailing through British Columbia waters. This was our last glimpse of Ketchikan as the Coral Princess pulled out of the harbor.

We arrived home last evening, though my brother and some of our other companions on the trip have stayed a day in Vancouver and are sailing on to Southern California tomorrow. This is just a glimpse of the beginning and end of the Alaska portion of the adventure.

BTW, yes, the bear in the previous post is a rescue living at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, and my zoom lens is terrific. More animals both at the center and in the wild will follow along with other tremendous sights. Stay tuned over the next few weeks as it will take me that long to find my way through my two thousand photos.

What great photos. I have a childhood friend that lives in Ketchikan and I have always wanted to visit. It all looks interesting.

Glad you had such a great time and have photos to share with us! I wish I had had a digital camera back when I spent 19 days travelng around Alaska but I do have a photograph album of my photos I took with a film camera.
