Gosh they are GORGEOUS .. and I love the header shot
What a neat experience to witness. I am not sure I ever heard of this flower before.
They weren't blooming when we were there in July, but were in all the damp places a month later. They were in places we hadn't seen them growing before. Maybe we hadn't been to those places in August--though that is highly unlikely.
Wonderful shots.
Bog gentians are beautiful. I've never seen a bee pry its way inside. Must have been fun to watch.
Beautiful pictures and flowers. I will have to look for them.

We watched a bumble bee pull open the petals of the bog gentian to climb inside--one flower after the other. So busy and so devoted to his work.
