Odd Shots--Did I tell you about harvest?

This is the home of Odd Shots on Monday. Comment here to let others know you are in the game this week. I will add you to our blogroll. All the details can be found by clicking the Odd Shots Camera in my sidebar.

Harvest season is winding down in the Valley. There are still some grapes being picked and some apples, but most will be finished within the next couple of weeks. I may have mentioned here that some harvests run day and night. That is the case with the hops, and it made for an eerie image across the road from us.

We do have our view back--well, sort of. It is crossed over with the poles and wires of the hop trellis, but there is a mountain over there.

I dare to say that if you had said "hops-and daisy" I would have believed you too.

I have dared to post An Odd Shot here. I hope that is OK? And odd enough?

Such an eerie shot and fascinating light effects ~ like flames from a gas fire!

Here is my Odd Shot for this week!

Over Striped?

I/m not sure I would like that view -- too odd for me. Doesn't even look like a welcoming campfire. I would think there was a fire and want to get movin'.

Looks quite eerie - prompts one to say - Odd neighbours you have. But I do know that hops are normally quiet folk... until they are precessed.

Good one for its Halloween-like effect!

"Louis's" Odd Shot is of a couple of Floating Devices.

I think night shots are the hardest to take but they are cool and eerie - perfect for this time of year. Mine is up now. Not as cool as your's.

How utterly Halloweeny, lol...I love this picture. We took in the last of the Eggplants and tomatoes today, though the weather is still great for the greens in the garden...collards, cabbages white and red...lettuce and the sweetpeas are nearing time for harvest...I love this time of year!

We are also at the end of the season, I think all the apples are picked here but not sure how our grapes are doing, they are late this year. The grapes for the ice wine wont be picked until it gets much colder.
