Snag

SkyWatch Friday is here.

Snags are an important part of the forest ecosystem. Decaying dead trees provide home to birds, insects, small mammals--sometimes even bears.

Love the look of snags against the sky. They provide homes to soo many. Really got into them when working at Mt St Helens. Of course Rainier is awesome also. We have the best jobs ever. Thanks for dropping by.

Hi Katney,
Happy day.

Don't forget, a larder for woodpeckers. Somewhere I have a photo of a snag full of acorns.
