I still get a kick out of this odd occurrence.

It doesn't look that odd, I suppose, though having a number of horsemen and a couple hundred head of cattle along the highway is a bit unusual. What I still laugh about it the two standing there in the red jackets. They are reporters for competing TV stations.

While we were waiting for the cattle drive to arrive in their rest stop at the rec area near the river, they were engaged in conversation. That's a natural. Closer in age than anyone else who was waiting and with career topics in common.

I didn't watch either station's late news that evening, but the two of them stood together on the road to take pictures of the event, moved down the road in tandem to get a better angle, questioned the same cowboy together. I wonder if there was any difference at all in their reports.

Driving home one evening a herd of cattle broke loose and were running ALL over the highway, for miles, it was 11pm, dark. My guess is the farmers were out all night looking for their cattle, no news at 11 on that one. I still find these sights odd, even after living in the country for 11 years going on 12.

At least they were friendly to one another, no big scoop I guess. Well, with all of those cattle, maybe a big scoop was needed ;)

Reporters do seem to have the herding instinct! I guess that they are worried that they may miss something that the other reporter covered. I have two odd shots this week crocus and Cold seating.
