ABC Revisiting G

On our very first snowshoeing expedition we went to the Nisqually Vista on a Ranger guided walk. Conditions were incredible that day--I've never seen them better though we have taken that route many times since--and I was enjoying the 10x zoom on my then new camera (three cameras ago) to pick up these adventurous snowboarders near the terminus of Nisqually Glacier.

G is for Glacier

This revisit of a G adventure is brought to you as part of ABC Wednesday Round 9. Thanks Denise.

That is an amazing shot! It looks rather impressive for a first snowshoe hike.
It took me forever to quit stepping on my snowshoes the first time I tried it. I spent a lot of time face down in the snow.

The rock almost looks like a hand. Wonderful snowy scene, just the place for snowshoes (not that I have ever worn any).

Not a rock, Joy, but the ice of the end of the glacier.

Oh, Martha, there were definitely moments on that trip when we were either nose down or bum down. This is the winter version of the hike we did at Paradise.

It is one of my favorite pictures I have taken.
