What's Up There in the Sky?

Tom gave us headbangers the theme "What's up there in the sky?"

I present something up in the sky and how it got there.

At the Prosser Balloon Rally a couple of years ago I followed this balloon from ground up.

Last September, high winds made it impossible to launch.

There are usually twenty to thirty balloons at the event, arriving Friday and launching Saturday and Sunday.

Good job for a small town---when weather does not interfere.

Other headbangers are also looking to the skies today. Check them out from the links on my sidebar.

Beautiful balloons in your sky! A bunch of the colorful balloons in the sky is a beautiful site. Here I see only an occasional single hot air balloon drift over head.

Superb coverage of the balloons! I wonder why the basket has such an unusual shape. For some reason, I assumed it would be equilateral.

Very nice captures of the balloons Kathy. I like the flames going up into the balloon.

Awesome balloon shots! I really, really, really want to see a balloon launch up close. A town close by has an annual "Eyes to the Skies" and I hope to get to go soon!!
