Love the view of these gorgeous mountains in all their volcanic splendor.

I love those mountains that you can see as you travel the west coast. When I first saw Mount Baker I was fascinated because it had snow on top in the middle of August. These are mountains that really look like mountains really should.

From the school where I taught in North Vancouver (BC), we could see Mt.Baker on clear days from the classroom window. That inspired discussions and some research too. Several of the international students told about active volcanoes in their countries. All to say, fascinating topic!
