ABC Wednesday--T

Visit Mrs. Nesbitt to sign on to
ABC Wednesday or to see who
else is participating.

Several visits to Mt. Rainier gave me this week's Ts.

Little Tahoma Peak is a part of Mt. Rainier.
I have read or heard that if it were considered on its own, it would still be among the highest mountains in the continental US.
(About a third from the left and midway top to bottom is Shadow Lake, featured in ABC-S. )

Tipsoo Lake sits at the 5300 foot level just inside the Park as you cross Chinook Pass. This was taken in November. The lake freezes over for the winter and the pass is closed by snowfall. It is surrounded by colorful wildflower meadows as soon as it is snow free. Chinook Pass normally opens for the Memorial Day weekend in late May, but late season snows prevented the completion of the plowing this year. Best estimate is that it will open this coming weekend. I hope so, as I would like to do this hike when we camp Friday and Saturday, (the one that gave us our ice for I, but this time we will take along the snowshoes.)
T is also for tents, tarps, and tourists.
This camping setup features all three. These visitors from Kenya who were camped across the road from us last week had wonderfully inventive camping gear. I imagine ours would look different if we were camping in Africa.

And T is for our new Little Guy Trailer, which will make setting off for a camping trip such a breeze for us older folks.

We didn't take a picture of it when we were camping at Ohanapecosh last weekend, so you will have to settle for this one in our driveway.

Hi! I like your series of T pictures! They are pretty. your little camper is cool! It looks like those old, teardrop shaped ones. Does it have a fold out stove or anything?
