This is our neighbor's hen.The neighbor has a small flock of chickens--maybe as many as a dozen. You see them in the horse pasture, along the driveway, and occasionally along the edge of the road. Apparently the bugs are delicious there.
Except this one hen. She seems to think that our cat food is delicious.
She hangs out daily in our yard. When hubby goes out to feed the cats he tries to chase her out the gate. It doesn't last long. She comes back right away to enjoy her cat food feast. She scares the cats off until she is finished.
Someone told me about a friend whose neighbor's hen laid an egg on his porch every morning. This hen has not offered us such delicious payment for her cat food meal.
What do you think? coc a vin? maybe with dumplings? cacciatori? divan? Kiev? arroz con pollo?
Anyone have a delicious recipe?

Yes, Mark, it definitely would be. But she has not yet left us one in payment. And if she did, the cats would not be the ones to get it!!
