Odd Shot Monday on Sunday Evening

This license plate was on a horse carrier we passed when we were in California last month. We got a kick out of it.

This Odd Shot is a bit early--I don't even have the energy to reset the time so it posts on Monday. Nor did I have the energy to decide which picture I took this weekend is an odd shot. There was one I tried to get on Christmas morning. DH even drove around the block so I could take it. I ended up with a picture of the dashboard in front of me instead. We decided it wasn't to be. It was a pig in the back of a pickup. A big pig, in the back of a pickup, parked in front of a church. How odd is that? Odder than this license plate.

We had a great day today after a great day yesterday. We ended the great day, with a minor misadventure--but having escaped serious misadventure, I am exhausted and ready to sleep. I never sleep this early, but tonight....

If you have an Odd Shot today, be sure to leave a comment and let us know, we don't want to miss it.

Odd plate indeed! Wasn't that also a song back in the 70's? My Odd shot is up.

Well, I would have enjoyed seeing that big pig in the truck -- I wonder why it was there?-- but that license plate is a terrific one too.

It sounds like you were in an accident -- I hope you are ok and feeling better by time as you read this.

Occasionally, when following a horse trailer, it is possible to get kicks of an altogether different kind . . .

No accident, Paulie. Just a near miss. Just because a road that is usually closed in winter is open because there's not much snow at that elevation does not mean it should be open. We decided after about a mile of ice rink conditions that we needed another plan and a place to turn around was miraculously there. Tried puttng on chains in the dark, but that was scary, too.

But we ended sleeping in a nice warm motel instead of wrapped in a sleeping bag in the car in the ditch. My husband is an incredible driver. If I had been driving, we would have been in the ditch long before.

Linda, I think you must be follwing too close--lol.
