Shoveling Snow on the Fourth of July

This week's camping and roving trip to Mt. Rainier included a lot of snow. There were times when it would have been nice to have had the snowshoes with us, instead of in the car.
One shoveling project was to clear the path across the bridge by Shadow Lake before someone fell in--the social trail was across the open creek. The next day the rest of the snow on the bridge had melted away. This was the first time we had seen the frogs in the lake.

I love being on top of the world!
On our hike to Fremont Lookout, we spotted where the roof had landed when it blew off over the winter storms.

Returning, we got a view of goats on the opposite ridge.

Don't forget the sunscreen--everywhere. I have red stripes on my calves.
