The icicles that formed on this car at the gym couldn't have been more than an hour old. The themometer registered 0ºF this morning. (That's about -18ºC.) But at least we had power.Conversations around us at lunch consisted of whether your power was on or off overnight. Several schools were closed for lack of power.
A friend's kid Nigel took a shower last night with the last of the warm water in their tank. He got out with his flashlight and reached for the hair dryer.
We are creatures of habit.

I love the way we still marvel at the weather. So nice, really. Keeps life in perspective.
