Odd Shots from the Ground Up

One of our local car dealerships had a big remote sale this weekend. As soon as I saw the balloons, I knew I wanted to go take pictures. We waited till after our movie, though, and the light was fading. I edited these to lighten them up.

    Those balloons must look really strange in dim light. I love the ones strung across the sky like a line of homing birds.

    It remind me of those '60's lava lamps, the coloured oil blobs floating. Very surreal.

    Car dealers always seem to be having some kind of "car party". But with raising gas prices I'm thinking the time for a party would be if they have, the difficult to come by, hybrids.

    I have always wondered how high those strings of balloons go and whether they intefere with small planes. Do they bring them down at night?

    Great catch! With soaring gas prices, they have got to do something spectacular to attract customers to buy those gas guzzlers!
