ABC Wednesday has been finding all sorts of alphabet references for nearly three years now. You will find this weeks ABC I-s listed at the ABC Wednesday dedicted site.I is for Ice
Not just cooling your drink.
But also...
Found if you leave your fountain running through the winter.
(Wallowa Lake, Oregon)
Or just skimming the surface if only only a bit of water is left. (Gonzaga campus, Spokane Washington)Allowing anyone to walk on water. (Reflections Lakes, Mt. Rainier, Washington)
(Nisqually River, Mt. Rainier, Washington)
I is for ice.

I prefer icecream or ice cubes in a glass then ice ! I had enough this winter, but your pictures are very nice !
ReplyDeleteI love the formations formed by running water in freezing weather. I rarely find it though.
ReplyDeleteYour fountain photo made me laugh! The waterfalls are gorgeous, but I'm happy the ice is on its way OUT!
ReplyDeleteOne might safely say that "Ice is a many-splendoured thing". That ledge was my favourite.
ReplyDeletePS I hope you look OVER the wall too :-)
(Sorry - I have a very literally minded sense of humour) BTW - Denise might be the person to ask about The Wall. She lives not to far away.
I love the fountain and the waterfall especially. Great photos!
ReplyDeleteGreat examples of ice! I always love how our park fountain next door freezes over and had some blog photos back then.
ReplyDeleteI see I missed the psot below also so will go post a comment there too.
I love how you took a simple thing like ice and made such an interesting series out of it. Beautiful shots. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYou had to do some cold hiking to get these shots! I love the frozen waterfall.
ReplyDeleteIntense Icy Images, Inspired Interpretation of I! I'm Impressed.
ReplyDeleteOn behalf of the ABC Wednesday Team, Thanks for joining us this week. Hope to see you back next week too!

Love the photos of the waterfall and fountain. Since we rarely get ice in the winter here (this year we had none!)I don't mind looking at all these cold photos as long as that is as close as I get!
ReplyDeleteGosh, such pretty ice photos. I have seen fountains left on and gee, I can only shake my head at that. I will be happy when the ice finally melts over here. Hopefully not too long as the days are getting warmer now! Yay!
ReplyDeleteI especially love the frozen waterfalls.
ReplyDeleteLoved the iced falling water. As I mentioned in someone else's page, ice here in my country, only in drinks!
ReplyDeleteKisses from Nydia.
Incredibly fine photographs! Beautiful ice sculpture. I'm particularly fond of the frozen fountain! :)
ReplyDeleteMolto bella la foto della neve ghiacciata sulla roccia.-
ReplyDeleteVeramente fantastica !
Buona serata Myriam :-)
