Traveling into the SkyWatch -- Alaska Bits -- 22 -- Mt. Roberts Tramway, Juneau

Some thought the cloudy skies would make the lift a waste of time.
"Some" were mistaken.

The Coral Princess docked in Juneau's cruise port. A cruise liner is a whole city unto itself. There were 1968 passengers and more than 800 crew aboard. It has a print shop, laundry, medical clinic, casino, shops, a library, etc.

Looking down on Juneau (above) and Douglas (below) across Gastineau Sound.

How many of today's SkyWatchers will by heading up into the sky today?

  3. Cool photos of Juneau's skies. During our cruise my hubby took photos of our ship from the sky ride too.
