Four lambs in the picture.

These four are not THE four. They are two sets of twins. Among their small flock two sets of quadruplets were born. The first set were staying in the shed near the heat lamp the day I visited. The second set were not born yet at the time. (One did not make it.)
I tried to find out the likelihood of quadruplet lambs, but apparently it depends on the breed. Most usually have single births or twins, so two sets of quads in one small flock seems to be unusual.

They must be close to you to keep such track of them. I like sheep from a distance.
ReplyDeleteIt does seem unusual.
ReplyDeleteI think I can never eat lamb chops again when I see them !

ReplyDeleteI love lambs! I collect them but not the living kind like these! LOL
ReplyDeleteLovely lambs! Our goats produced triplets one year - difficult, as they have just two teats!
ReplyDeleteHow are lambs so pretty and sheep so ... plain?!
