OMG! That is huge and hairy! Spiders or any insect is not my friend. I spotted a huge praying mantis on our gate today.

I came over from Diane's site. On the spider: He is a cute little guy, but definitely an outsider! As a kid I loved spiders and praying mantis. Thanks for a great close up!
UGH .. what sort of arachnapod is that? Not a tarantula, is it?:-Daryl
Tarantulas are larger and fuzzier and live in the Southwest instead of the Northwest. Maybe I will find you some tarantulas next month when we go to Utah and Arizona. I hope not.

That is one nasty looking bug. I am sure it has a purpose, but I don't want to find out what it is. I am NOT fond of spiders.
I really have fear in spiders. :((
