Sky Watch Friday--fishing lessons

Grampa gave fishing lessons to a couple of the Grandkids when we visited them at the lake. They used marshmallows as bait.
Sasha found himself successful since the fish nibbled some of his marshmallows.
Masha caught some weeds that were shaped like fish.
All in all a perfect evening.
Masha renamed marshmallows "fisherman's snacks".
Oops! no dessert after that.
Sky Watch Friday originated with Dot and keeping it going is now a team effort. You will find the details here.

  4. Your photo reminds me of the Kathryne Hepburn/Henry Fonda film "On Golden Pond". What a lovely day for grandpa and the small fry, I have never heard of using marshmallows for bait!

  10. What beautiful memory of a fishing lesson! Never heard that fish like marshmellows, *giggle*
(Honestly, I'd prefer to keep marshmellows in the fridge, instead of maggots!)

Thank you for visiting my blog and your kind comment! ;-)

  19. Neat photo silhouette and great byline to go with it!

BTW, the marshmallows I am bringing are NOT fisherman's bait. They are for toasting on a campfire! I am not a fisherman -- instead I loved being a rockhound like my dad. (He was a fisherman also.)

I caught up on comments on your blog now -- think I posted on 9 blogs. . . Ü Hope to be back blogging again tomorrow.

  20. Very nice how that peer and fisherman silhouttes against sunset!

I'm so much into fishing, when I get started, I just don't know when to stop. I can spend easily the whole day just fishing.
