Now, you may wonder what it is that is odd about this shot. What is odd is, that it was taken today (Sunday) August 31.
~
Do you see those white specks? Click to enlarge this one a bit to see them better. They are not camera noise because of poor resolution or using the wrong setting. or zooming in too far.
~
They are SNOWFLAKES!!!!!
(Sorry, Paulie. We did not deliver you any snow in August, but we sure found it today.)
Snowflakes in August! I've never heard of such a thing! very nice odd shot!
ReplyDeleteLucky you! It rained so hard here today or I might have gone looking for snow that was down to 500 ft -- that means over in orchards, east of where I live in our city!
ReplyDeleteI had to dig out a shot I been wanting to use for a month now-- in fact it was taken August 1st! at the fair.
Could you please change your link for odd shots for me since I have a new blog? Thanks!
Hmmmm... the effects of global warming, perhaps?
ReplyDeleteHere's my odd shot:
Rusted and Abandoned.
sure is odd!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful odd shot. It must be cold out there. Surely, odd things are happening all over the world because of global warming.
ReplyDeleteHere in Mumbai, the daily weather changes atleast two or three times a day. Like if I keep warm night clothes out for my 3 year old, a couple of hours before his bedtime. I realise later that it's too hot for him to wear them and get out something light and cool for him. Odd, isn't it?
Here's my odd shot
Abandoned
Please no snow until Christmas.
ReplyDelete:)
Gore proposes, Earth disposes... and the Sun.
ReplyDeleteAfter the greyist August on record in England, the sun is shining today.
ReplyDeleteBut, I've seen snow whilst out in Saskatchewan, CA during harvest.
TY for the comment you left me.
I do have a post up today!
Best wishes
Blue

ReplyDeleteWe've been saying it's autumn since early July, and we were only half joking. But winter at the end of August?
ReplyDeleteThat's great, Katney! I would have been thrilled with some snow, it's still 82(F) and the a/c is running. I'm slow but my Odd Shot is up too.
