ABC Wednesday--F

Click for Mrs. Nesbitt's Place, home of ABC Wednesday.

There is an abundance of F images at Mt. Rainier National Park.
Foamflowers are very delicate.

Fir Cones are a popular snack among small critters.

Foggy Meadows

Fungi
These are fungi pictures I have not posted before. If you
find fungi as fascinating as I do, look for my other shots
of fungi from Mt. Rainier and Alaska here and here.

  7. Hi Katney, nice post.
I like the foggy meadow and froggy shots.
When my daughter was about three she had no qualms about catching frogs and would bring these big things into the house. One day I told he the story of the frog prince and she spent a morning kissing frogs - without success :)

  13. Dirty Knees, I tracked down the original of the meadow phtot. It was taken in July of 2005 at Sunrise area of Mt. Rainier National Park. (Well, that part you probably knew 'caause that's my obsession.) There are magenta paintbrush, lupine, Sitka valerian, anenome, and I can't tell what the yellow ones are as they are too far distant. Could be arnica, avalanche lily, or mountain dandelion.

  23. Your frog looks so comfy.

"Foamflower"! Now I know the name. Hard to look anything up if you don't know it. Maybe we should start a photo-based ID site. There are some around but we could specialize on a particular location (state?)
